What is the ASHRAE?

ASHRAE stands for American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers. It has been around since the late nineteenth century and today has more than fifty-thousand members. The society focuses on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration, and substantiality. Their official site can be found by clicking here.

ASHRAE are famously known for their four volume handbooks. Each year they release a one part revised edition so that no single volume is ever over four years old. Click here to look at their latest edition on refrigeration on Amazon.com.
